100 million votes against will show otherwise.

At least the "I got the most votes ever by a sitting president!" wail has only 15 months to live before it becomes "second-most."

“Philanthropists will never be able to control these women,” says Dippel. “Why? Because these women are college educated and they don’t need their money. They also have time, they have skills, and they’re empowered primary voters. The message they send to elected officials is, ‘No, no, no. My kid, my money, you work for me. And if you don’t, I’ll organize all these other women, tell them what’s going on, and kick you out of office, because that’s democracy, right?’ ”

Side question: What is the appropriate way to examine the conflict between parents and schools that does not automatically, reflexively defend one side or the other?

I really like how most GOP organizations' names directly contradict what the name says. Moms For Liberty, my ass.

Tell them what they think is going on. Which might be leap years from what is actually going on.

So the Secret Service can't ID the White House cocaine mule.

    They're also white.

    White white white.

    White.

Additionally, that quote is a sort of chilling reminder that these women think of government - and public schools - as another consumable. Another service. Another thing to be purchased and then complained about on Yelp.

I think you have to play it straight down the middle.

Criticize schools as they are, and their many failures, sure. Might also mention their many successes in educating a sprawling population of every economic and ethnic background.

But present groups like this one not only as an expression of rebellion, but of ignorance and fear. (You'd be hard pressed to find rank-and-file moms at these events who could actually define CRT or DEI. The Hitler quote being a good example of the groups' broader cluelessness. ) I think you'd also have to mention race and class when presenting them.

And what are their actual proposals for academic improvement?

This piece errs in assuming the failure of public schools and assuming the good faith of groups like this, while softballing the worst of their errors and efforts.
