Dominguez is the least of their worries. He's a barely 20-year-old in Double-A that might be hitting .217 but has a .358 on base percentage with 21 extra-base hits in 79 games, including 11 homers, and is 25-for-29 on steals.

Also, it's a pitcher's league -- always has been -- and the 25th-best hitter in the league is barely batting .250 and only seven guys are over .300

Yes, the greatest perfect game ever was actually the greatest perfect game ever.

I've watched baseball for almost 65 years and we had something tonight I have never seen, three sacrifice flies in the same half-inning. Here's how:

Runners on 2nd and 3rd, no out. Batter hits a fly ball to deep right field that is dropped for an error. Run scores, runner on second takes third, batter hustles into second. Official scoring decision is sac fly/error, RBI, no time at bat.

Next batter hits a fly ball to deep center that is caught for the first out, sac fly, RBI. Runner on third scores, runner on second moves to third.

Next batter hits a fly ball to center that is caught for the second out, runner on third scores. The third sac fly of the inning.

Apparently 13 wasn’t enough as the Cardinals kicked a go-ahead field goal against the Falcons.

On Monday, a Giants-Reds game was suspended. The teams finished that one on Tuesday. If you attribute those six runs to Tuesday, then MLB has featured 201 runs for the day.

The night before we had in inning in which our reliever hit two batters, threw a wild pitch, walked a batter, allowed two steals and threw 19 balls in 25 pitches, yet did not give up a run. Summer baseball is crazy.

It counts as a Monday game. Thus, Doval did not earn two saves on the day.

There had to be a double play in there somewhere.
