I saw this today and it's way cool.

Cecil Fielder had 319 home runs; Prince Fielder hit 319 home runs. Both had 97 two-out home runs, both had 49 fourth-inning home runs, both had 29 fifth-inning home runs and both had 18 ninth-inning home runs. Both had exactly forty percent of their hits go for extra bases.

    Like no interleague play.

Or the All-Star Game determining home field in the World Series.

Or the AL president and the NL president.

There is absolutely no need for AL and NL anymore.

Don't see the Twins much, but man, their closer Jhoan Duran has some nasty, nasty stuff. Throws 103/104 and has a sharp-breaking, 90 mph curve ball.

The Mariners got a couple gift runners via an error and HBP, but they had no chance with their striking-out ways.

Tradition aside, you still need the organization have some sort of division into two in order to have two teams meet in the World Series. Unless you’re doing some sort of NCAA Tournament round-robin thing.

Well, the Mariners not might be able to hit baseballs, but they can connect with watercoolers pretty well.

Unfortunately for Jared Kelenic, it was his foot rather than his bat that made the connection. He's out with a broken bone in his foot after booting the water cooler last night.

Mariners' Kelenic breaks foot on water cooler kick

Awfully tough for Country Roads to Take You Home when you have a broken foot! [/marinersfanjoke]
