You’re saying two things really can be true at the same time, that lynching was evil and none of its victims deserved it, and some of its victims may have been guilty of the crimes of which they were accused?

 

I said it is something that is not allowed by law and is devoid of guilt. I also said to just leave it as the awful practice without your games.

So go ahead and twist what I said to your narrative—whatever the hell it is, because that eludes me—but know that’s all I said.

 

I aim to misbehave.

 

No lynching victim deserved it. However, some victims of lynching may have been guilty of actual crimes, for which they should have been punished inside the judicial system rather than by a lynch mob.

 

Aldean isn’t very subtle.
