Hard to understand how that first sentence is true when you immediately do what you say you aren’t doing.

I was speaking broadly of what I perceived to be tastes of the cultural left - not specifically about you. Any broad analysis will necessarily miss specific tastes and personal choices. If you don't agree with what I wrote, fine with me. Make your own case.

But you said “QT’s movies” so why are you putting it on me to do the explaining?

That's all true, but to go back to the genesis of this thread . . .

There's no way Songbird would say the FMJ line IN FRONT OF A VIETNAMESE WOMAN.

On this board, he figured the rules are looser. I'd guess a lot of us did. Or maybe they aren't anymore.

If they aren't, then Ho Lee Fuk, somebody better tell The Dwarf that we're not going to mock Chinese and short people anymore.

Southerners, sigh, will always be fair game, even though "nobudduh tellz them whut ta dew!"

Quintin Tarantino, perhaps? That was my first thought.

Alma - The Hangover occurred during a time that is becoming wistfully nostalgic for some Americans - the Obama era.

Nobody overthought Porky's (or Porky's II or Porky's III) so there's no need for you to go overthinking The Hangover.

“I’m OK being racist as long as it’s behind people’s backs” is an odd way of just saying someone is OK with racism. Personally, I usually stick to a handful of threads and don’t see the things you mentioned pop up. But, yeah, those things aren’t cool, either.

They're entirely different things. I said one thing, shitty and wrong, and got called out and acknowledge that.

It's a board where some of the best and worst pop culture has been referenced since Day 1. Sometimes the reference overshadows real life.

No. You said you weren’t playing the victim. And then you said you’re the victim because no one else gets called out and you did. You immediately contradicted yourself.

Since then we've been getting more movies like 'Bridesmaids,' 'Girls Trip,' 'Joy Ride,' etc.

That material is still out there, but it's being more finely tuned for different audiences.

2 different things. I'm not a victim because someone else wasn't called out.

I said it would be nice if anger was put upon all who say the shitty things.

I'm not a victim if that doesn't happen. It just means this place is quite hypocritical.
