Agreed. But they siphon enough votes away from Biden to muck things up. The Gen X of voters -- the forgotten generation.

    See Donald Run.

See Donald win the primary, lose his ass in the general and go straight to prison.

    Run, Donald, Run.

The people who would be the traditional 3rd party people are the ones who put fatf*ck in the WH the first time, the saw the carnage and won’t make the same mistake this time. That’s why Biden won in 2020 and why 2022 midterms broke purple instead of red. It’s why Wisc SCt has turned and why Minn and Mich is going blue.

This is the other side of the sword the GOP has been carrying for the last 25 years. When your entire pitch is that your opposition is not just wrong but an existential moral hazard to the culture, it had better be believable. And that's the hidden genius of everyone getting behind Biden in the winter of 2020. Joe Biden is an 80-year-old man who enjoys bike rides, ice cream and playing with his grandkids. He's probably got enough lived experience and negotiating skills to run the government fairly competently for six hours a day or hire people who will. Sure, you can portray him as senile, but if you play that song too loud, it reminds you that Donald Trump is a 77-year-old man who sure as hell looks like an existential moral hazard, at least to a swing voter. Oddly enough, the conservative who might have had a chance to beat Biden in a general election is late 2000s vintage Paul Ryan. He has a bunch of ideas, and though most of them are bad or come off as gibberish to the average voter, he is a fresh face presenting a new product. Cripes, he's even from a swing state! But Paul Ryan failed as a politician because (save for the Ron Paul-esque kooks) the average Republican primary voter doesn't understand economics any more than a non-voter or a Democrat. The average Republican primary voter wants revenge. Revenge against the people who make them feel stupid, call them racists and believe in deadnaming your niece-turned-nephew to make a point. Revenge isn't a plan and it only works if you have something to take revenge for.

Don't ever discount what the GOP can or cannot do. They crawled for 50 years to overturn Roe. That has actually hurt them.

But don't discount them because you think ABC or LMNOP down to XYZ. They find ways.

He's sick in the head, and that's likely to be his defense in federal court.

I still say he should walk the Green Mile, even though it'll never happen.

    IT SHOULD.

I'm sure glad Will Hurd is not going to be their nominee.

Tim Scott could win a general election for them, but he doesn’t have a way past Trump so long as 45 is alive and kicking. Oh well.
