    Then put it this way - To Republican voters, Manchin is a lifelong Demoncrat. Manchin (and Sinema) are roundly disliked by Democratic voters for cockblocking Biden's bills. The voters who don't fit in either of those groups are too few to make much of a dent.

    It's possible that he could play the third party candidate that screws the Dem incumbent, but I think that the intent there has been well exposed early. I don't think he can do it.
