Jet skis are about as safe as a three-wheeler.

It always bugs me when a player catches flak from fans and talk show hosts when they hold out wanting to renegotiate a contract. Teams renegotiate all the time - either to lower a cap number, or to threaten a player with a release unless they accept a lesser amount. And they'll just cut a player who is under contract - the ultimate renegotiation.

I’m not saying that Zoom call went pretty badly, but Saquon Barkley folded pretty quickly and didn’t even get a guarantee that the Giants won’t hit him with the franchise tag again next offseason.

Sources: Barkley at Giants camp with new deal

He apparently got the deal fully guaranteed, which is better than game to game under the tag. So that’s something.

If he had signed the franchise tag, his $10.1M would have been fully guaranteed too. Barkley's only gain here is $900K in incentives...
