I had it made when I lived in Charlotte.

Harris-Teeter. Food Lion. Lowes Foods. Bi-Lo (which became Harvey's). Publix. Aldi.

Now it's an endless parade of Publix Publix Publix Publix Winn-Dixie Publix Publix Aldi Publix Publix.

Surely there is a Wal-Mart close by. And is there a Target nearby that sells groceries?

In the towns I have lvied in there have generally been three mass market grocers.

I’ll stick with Dr Pepper and an occasional Juice Monster. And I hate liter soft drinks because they go flat in a short time. They’re best for parties.

$2.50 at my Safeway which is 50¢ cheaper than Diet Coke. The store brand is $1.98 or something like that.

Nice to know something is cheaper in Cali.

Yes. Walmart is actually the closest place. I could open my front door and run there in less than 15 minutes (which I have done on the few occasions I had some minor car work done). But I was talking about primarily grocery stores. Charlotte was just so much better than ANY place in Florida for selection.

Closest Target is 12 miles away.

Propel powder. Makes 20 quarts of electrolyte water for a couple bucks.

Bonus points for shrugging off those nasty chemicals called diet soda.

Oh, I felt a NEED to go to Walmart when I was in the newspaper business, and now that I don't have to, I still do because it saves me money for other things.
