Nitpicking a headline wordplay doesn’t make the water any cooler.

Another risk of electric cars — the occasional massive fire that's almost impossible to extinguish.

It's a journalism board. Every other thing gets nitpicked.

I've been on a roll-on/roll-off (Ro/Ro) vessel, they are huge and carry most any vehicle including the heaviest construction equipment and railroad locomotives. Also, if people knew what goes on in international vessel operations, they wouldn't stick a toe in the ocean. Google "magic pipe" and "shipping" for one toxic example.

It’s supposed to be 104 here the next two days. That’s temp, not wind chill. I should have mowed many days ago.

I waited until the last hour of daylight last Thursday to mow the lawn, which only took 45 minutes. And I still woke up Friday morning with the shivers from heat exhaustion, with a temp that topped out at almost 102.

I'm lucky that I have a postage stamp yard that only takes 25 minutes or so with the electric mower. Hell, it takes longer to untangle the cord just to get ready to mow than it does to mow.

Between doing mine and my mom's, it takes about 4 hours. The terrible part is the last few days, the humidity and dew point have made it so the grass won't dry enough to mow until the heat of the day.
This time of year always sucks because we have large sections that are infested with crab grass, and it's like a hay field. Fortunately, it hasn't rained in a few days, and there is none on the horizon. When I get it cut, it shouldn't spring back up too quickly.

I will always find a place in my budget for lawn service.

Trim the tons of shrubs and hedges myself but pay for mowing, fertilizing and the like.

We've been battling sand spurs for the past month. Those things are painful when they're dry and you touch them. If a dog steps on one he's pretty helpless unless its removed.

Thankfully, when I get the farm sold, my lawn care will come down to about 15 mins every other week (for my wife because I'm not f'n doing it anymore).
