They're building 2 Publix in our area, but both would be close to a 30-minute drive. Same for the one Trader Joe's. I have a Walmart Neighborhood Market, a Food Lion, a big Walmart, a Kroger, a Harris-Teeter and an Aldi's within 5-10 minutes and Lidl's is near one of my grandsons. Walmart is consistently more cost-effective.

Only thing I get at overpriced Publix is small, round soup bones for our dogs.

Have we heard anything more on the idea of yearly COVID boosters? Seems like that conversation has fallen completely off the map. I got my fourth shot in September 2022 and am fine with getting another if need be. Also fine with not getting one if the science says there's no point and the original shots/boosters provide plenty of long-term protection.

They decided to go back to a monovalent vaccine using a strain they think will provide broader cross-protection. Made no mention or recommendation as to timing.

They (meaning CDC) seem to be going out of their way to NOT mention the possibility of annual vaccinations. And I have no idea why.

We'll be getting another booster sometime this fall, probably Octoberish when we do flu shots - unless the numbers spike locally before then.

Just had a wellness appointment and asked the GP; he wasn’t aware of anything, at least in the near term. If any would know, it’s the doc, right?

I had an in-person meeting with a co-worker on Monday. She sent me a message yesterday saying that she had it. Her family (husband, two kids) don't have it. I'm negative so far.
