Two thoughts:

1. The only candidates running against Twitchy who have a prayer of becoming his veep are Scott and Haley. Scott because he's Black and Haley because she's a woman. Sounds cynical as hell, but that was McCain's gambit in 2008. DeSantis is ineligible because he is from Trump's state of residency.

2. If Biden is stricken ill in the middle of the primaries and chooses not to run but remains president, Harris is the favorite but the Dem convention will revert to the old "smoke-filled room" of the pre-1972 primary era. Humphrey in 1968 wasn't a shoo-in going in.

 

So they'll just concede the election? That's basically what your hypothetical means.

 

This is why anyone whom millions of people turn to to make sense of the world should have more than one week at UMass-Boston. No critical thinking skills or knowledge of history.

I can’t believe Gaffigan - a seemingly level-headed nice guy - would go on that doofus’s show.

 

DeathSentence isn't ineligible. He could theoretically be Trump's VP. The consequence is that Trump couldn't get Florida's electoral votes; that fact might be a practical reason to ensure the VP isn't from Florida. The Sunshine State's klan of Electors wouldn't have to flip their votes to Biden. They'd just pick somebody else.

I don't really know anything about Gaffigan outside of his "aw shucks" family guy kind of act, but the man is seemingly always available for whatever show or podcast needs him.

 

Rogan grew his audience initially by having comedians on to talk shop. He did a great sit down interview with Jay Leno that really changed my mind about him. They were great listens and I really wish he would do that more than having every conspiracy theorist and whack job on. Also, I'm betting Rogan and Gaffigan have known each other and been friends for over two decades and its not so easy to just walk away from people like that.

 

The guy has no business telling millions of people Jan. 6 was a false flag set up by the intelligence community.
