I'm referring more to the national baseball media, who ravaged the O's for tanking and seem to ignore when others do it.

Truth be told, he's the one I'm thinking of here.

The Padres are three games below .500, but they just added Rich Hill and Ji Man Choi in a trade with the Pirates. I haven't seen what they got in return yet. That certainly tells you a lot about both franchises, good and bad.

There is still no word on his injury, which could be a very bad sign. If he is out for any length of time, they may want to keep it quiet until after the trade deadline.

Braves pick up lefty Brad Hand from Rockies for a minor leaguer.

Thing about that is, if that's the way we're looking at it (and you're probably right), there are 29 ballclubs thinking the same thing.

And that was hinted at during the broadcast among rampant speculation as to what's wrong with him. Every team knows what they are hunting for.

Agreed, but I've always been of the opinion that teams are fooling themselves more than they are fooling anybody else when they hold back injury-related information like that.

It'll be interesting to see how soon, after the DeJong acquisition, the Jays provide an update on Bichette.
