Yeah you said that right after saying he was happy to let Trump go. It seems odd to want to let him go only to appoint the guy who got the indictment.

And maybe, just maybe, such a politically charged endeavor needed to be handled with a level of care that had to be handled carefully.

Oh, and about that RICO evidence…

Never forget that if the indictment had come, oh say 30 days after 1/6/21, the cry would have been "rush to judgment."

My point is the guy you want to be drawn and quartered did what you wanted: got an indictment. He had to do it in a way you didn’t like but he’s here to dispense fair justice according to the law. He let the process play out so we get what we all want: Trump behind bars. But to jump the gun gives the Trumplicans exactly what they want: a liberal conspiracy.

Also my point about RICO is it’s a nice thing to throw around and sounds cool because that’s how they got the mafia, it doesn’t work in all cases. Charge him with the crimes you can prove not the ones that took down the new wave of Lucky Lucianos.
