The GQP is going to go deeper into their batshit crazy side as the primaries wear on, on top of Trump Fatigue.

Are there cameras in the courtroom for this, or are we going to keep seeing the same static exterior shots?

So the Times has reported (if this is a db, sorry) that Sen. Diane Feinstein's daughter has her mom's power of attorney. I'm an old, so I hope this doesn't seem ageist, but I really don't think someone judged incapable of managing their own affairs should be in the US Senate.
To answer the above question, no cameras is federal courtrooms. I believe Chief Justice Roberts can waive that rule for individual trials, but doubt anyone would bother for an arraignment. Hey, courtroom sketch artists gotta eat too.

Hearing reporters on the outside repeat what they're being told by reporters on the inside harkens back to the days of baseball recreations. But it's what we've got.

    This could be interesting.

I bet there’ll be cameras allowed in a federal courthouse the next time a president gets indicted…

Seriously, though, this trial should be televised. The public interest is enormous and Trump will hate not being on television, regardless of the circumstances.

Well, the statement at the airport was certainly a nothingburger.

That last part of Boogie's post is why his attorneys should fight the trial being televised with all their might. Trump is drawn to TV cameras as a moth to the flame, and the chances that he'd burst into some kind of "you can't handle the truth" rant in which he confesses to about 600 crimes as soon as the bailiff says "all rise" are very good.

Although it's been said, many times, may ways: Trump listen to his lawyers?

I assume Dilbert meets the threshold of significance.

He says there’s no way to say for sure the 2020 election was not stolen is unknowable because there was no way to audit it. First, there is no difference between a recount and an audit.
Second, when the courts tell you you’re wrong 60 times it is not because of a corrupt judiciary (and I’m getting tired of street smart people of saying there is such a thing as a corrupt judiciary) it’s because you’re wrong.

May I just say that the networks turned in some of the worst television imaginable from a viewer standpoint this afternoon. Here's pictures of an airplane. Here's pictures of cars on a highway. Here's pictures of people milling around outside some building. To spice this up, how about some talking head panels? Even just checking it for 10 seconds or so every 30 minutes I got bored.
