Perfect grid, score of 71 for baseball. I can thank Bill (Spaceman) Lee’s first biography for getting the Red Sox/Giants and Red Sox/Reds guys.

Right? Him and Bobby Bonds are in regular rotation for me.

Throwing a big curveball Saturday with no teams and just categories in the MLB grid.

Didn't care for that one as much as the other.

At first glance, it seems easier, but I don't pay all that much attention to Silver Slugger awards.

I don't always go for the low one, but I did today because it seemed easier without any team boxes. Got a 47. One of my go-to guys got me a two percent on 500+ homers and Gold Glove and I had three below one percent. I'm still surprised how rarely people use some of the all-time greatest players.

Babe Ruth is a surprisingly good go-to for quizzes like today's because he checks the box on so many offensive categories and the quiz definitely has a recency bias. Seems like most of the boxes I put him in, he's at less than 10 percent.

I was slapping my forehead over the blank I got on today's grid, because I entered a Hall-of-Famer whom I was sure was a top offensive player at this position, but I didn't realize they started giving out Silver Sluggers in 1980, and the player's best offensive seasons were in the '70s.
