I hear you. Trinity Rodman almost provides the wake-up call.

Here ... maybe some Mountain Dew will help ...

This World Cup was made for a third shifter like me. Wide awake for this one.

The U.S., and Rodman in particular, taking the match to Sweden. Problem in the last two matches was letting the opponent take the match to them.

It’s almost as if they’re playing like they could be eliminated and not just waiting for the knockout round to show up

See also: NBA or NHL team that treated pool play like the regular season, and now realizes that one loss and it's really over.

Probably not really the case, but I understand the thought process, especially after watching the Americans struggle the last two matches.

Alex Morgan doesn’t have the wheels anymore.

Unless Trinity Rodman was injured or really hurting, not sure I understand subbing her out ... for Lynn Williams or anyone else.

Still a good effort, but need to finish one off and soon.

I think they said that she was sick. She faded pretty hard in her last 10 minutes before the sub.

This ref blows. I mean these fouls are obvious

Yeah, but she has been consistent. It's not like one's sides fouls are cards and the other's are not.

The bigger annoyance is that she has been in the ball's path twice.

Joining late. The way PKs have been going, hopefully it doesn't come down to that.

The frustration of soccer: the team that should be up like 4-1 is going to lose a 0-0 game on PKs
