@Cosmo At what point does Wilson’s extension become the worst contract in the league, year 1?

    That’s a Canucks contract.

It reminds me of Marc Bergevin with Gallagher, Anderson and Alzner.

Capitals are a smart organization normally

I think the Ovechkin situation is crossing them up.

Karlsson deal is done. Let the rebuild at the Tank continue.

Other than Karlsson being 33, am I missing a downside for the Penguins here? Moving Granlund, Petry, and DeSmith seems like it is more helpful than harmful, though they will have some issues at forward early in the season after Guentzel's ankle surgery.

No, they are all in. They actually added cap space as well. Great job by Dubas.

the Pens are in for a world of hurt in a few years but you may as well go for it while you have Crosby and Malkin and have them at great deals.

Yeah, the disaster is coming, but that's pretty much impossible to fix in the short run.

For sure. So you might as well go for it.

Of course Hoffman was part of this trade.

Habs dumped Hoffman and Pitlick, no retention, and will likely flip Petry at 50 per cent retained. Pretty handy work.
