I just meant because of the history between Hoffman and Karlsson.

 

That’s a story that went away in a hurry in Ottawa and I have a pretty good feeling that it wasn’t as first reported.

 

I don’t think either guy came out looking great. Or, rather, it seemed that neither Karlsson nor his wife seemed to be particularly well liked.

That Hoffman was not well liked is not a surprise.

Nice little late-afternoon news drop by the Leafs.

 

Matthews has done very well by taking shorter terms. Will be interesting to see if anyone else is willing to assume the same risk (I assume he has purchased an insurance policy). He’s not just making more bank, he gives himself another out.

 

So CBJ is investigating allegations that Mike Babcock has been inspecting players’ phones so he can get a measure of them.

 

This is a really weird story. Bissonnette likes to pretend to be a buffoon but it seems like he is smart enough to not go public with something like that unless he's pretty certain it's true; Babcock and Boone Jenner issued statements saying there is nothing to it. You get the sense some of the players Babcock treated like shit are trying to get revenge.

His podcast gets some good guests, but this is the underlying brand.
