I’m baffled by the 30ish Mexican-American guys at work who are Republicans. I want to say “Dudes, they hate you and your families. Why support them?” but I’m smart enough not to engage politically at work.

Trump talks a lot about cracking down on lazy moocher immigrants. He means those OTHER Latino looking people.

Of course. Because they are stupid and cannot determine what they want.

So what? According to her own party's latest baseless yet mind-fucking demands, she's not allowed to use that name anymore. At all. Right now.

Mexicans would actually be a good fit for the GOP if the overt and extreme racism wasn’t there. They typically very religious, very family oriented and really value traditions. Where many Mexicans diverge is on immigration and the aforementioned racism. Granted there is a significant Chicano progressive movement, but there is a lot in common.

Also there is a sense of “I’m better because I’m more Spanish than native compared to you” and “I got mine, why don’t you just work harder” attitude.

The point I have been making is a poster has been implying she uses a name to hide her ethnicity when she has used the name almost all her life. Her name has no relation to do some bullshit Florida law.

The Cubans are a better fit, though.
Why, just look at how they wrecked Miami, then went heavily into Medicare fraud.

    GOP all the way, papi!

Florida law? No. ... To quietly mask her ethnicity? Oh yeah, big time all along.

The Cubans are a better fit now. Mexicans (and many Hispanics really) would be a great fit if the racism was curtailed. Republicans could go on a 1860 to 1928 run of dominance (Cleveland and Wilson as exceptions) if they abandoned “protect the whites” and actually embraced all colors to further conservative values they have in common.

I don't know how those Mexicans (and many Latinos really) could go for the GOP bullshit.

In the places I know, the Mexicans are sleeping eight to a Motel 6 room all week (where the floor ain't much of a bed for the extras), or 12 to an el cheapo apartment month to month, just to work the roofer jobs that white people won't do anymore and, oh yeah, send half their paychecks back home to the wives and kids. Benefits suck, too!

Where do they find the GOP love in that life?
