Sure, there is a chance this is because they think there is evidence against Joe Biden to be found. It is just as likely this ends up being the worst-case scenario for Republicans, with a broader investigation still failing to turn up any real evidence against him. Republicans don't like this because they can't legitimately call DOJ interference and they will have a harder time just making shit up.
