I’m calling for her to return her Oscar because that movie was dogshit.

Rewatched "The Firm" last week and its presentation of life in Memphis never touched on Taco Bell franchisees.

Yeah, but it also showed a full trailer of baled cotton in downtown.

The movie itself is kind of hokey, but the cast -- Hal Holbrook, Ed Harris, Wilfred Brimley, Paul Sorvino, Gary Busey, Holly Hunter, Gene Hackman, the guy who plays Cruise's brother who is in everything and whose name I can never remember -- is really freaking good.
Might necessitate a new thread: Worst movies with the best casts.

David Straithairn, who played Oppenheimer in the awesome BBC doc.

Wilford Brimley threatening a person was so shocking to me as a 10-year old. The diabeetus guy? The oatmeal guy? The Our House guy?

The counter narrative seems a little “just so” in the same way the original narrative did.

Never read the book. I thought the movie was stupid, Sandra Bullock’s version of Erin Brockovich. (And yes, I’m quite aware of how different those two stories are.)
