One of the more gratifying scenes in the Joe Montana documentary on Peacock was Joe talking about how he orchestrated the whole lifting Rudy on everyone's shoulders scene.

The heartwarming story of the powerhouse, heavily favored white school beating the underdog Black school?

Last piece of BS that the Touhys are throwing out there, according to ESPN, they admit the amount received from the film was $225,000. They say it was divided up equally. Son admits he's received about $70k to date.

Well, the sleight of hand is that the TOTAL was Oher's, but because of the conservatorship, he had given up the legal rights to all of that. Now through the "goodness" of their heart, the Tuohys granted him 20%.

Did Paul Podesta make any money from Moneyball since he didn't allow them to use his name? And I'm not in the tank for either side on this - but it does remind me of the "print the legend" line from Liberty Valance. Lavar Arrington and Brady Quinn were talking about it this morning and saying Oher could have lived off of motivational speaking fees the rest of his life. I don't think the book or any settlement with the Tuohys would be more than that. Whatever the facts are.

PS - don't get me started about Green Book. Now that was a piece of crap.

No simply despise the "we're so rich we would never do something bad to make $$ BS".

They took advantage of a disadvantaged kid and I'm all for calling them out on it.

The guys filling in for Dan Patrick had the same discussion this morning, mentioning how Rudy turned that movie into a lucrative speaking career.

You do realize that's similar, not the same by any stretch, to the "hey you benefited from being enslaved because we taught you good stuff" theme, right?

I cheated/deceived you BUT hey you got famous so you should be thankful for my deception. Ignore what happened afterwards, focus on the very start, a promised adoption was never an adoption. The excuse given is false as a simple google search shows.
