    This deserves its own thread.

This one might best the best I’ve seen and that really is saying something.

The level these songs achieve in this setting is magnificent. The musicians assembled to back the artists are astounding. The arrangements are amazing.

Posty might win me over one day. But today is not the day.

    I’ll watch it eventually.

Butch Walker covered Better Now, so Posty can’t be all bad.

What I loved about this one is it was a couple you know and one you don’t. And, of course, it sounds so much different than how you know it, or will know it.

My buddy from college does all the sound mixing for Tiny Desk.

I think I can still objectively say the sound quality is as close to perfect as it gets since he took over.

The one he did remotely with Lake Street Dive during the pandemic sticks in my head as a great example:

I love Tiny Desk Concerts. The one with GWAR was hilarious.

    Amazing

Is he on-site when these happen?

Yes. The sound board is just off-camera to the left of Boilen’s desk.

He has pictures of himself hanging out with practically every musician ever. He lives less than 10 miles from me, but we might as well live in different universes.

I could watch and listen to Derek Trucks all day, every day.
So quiet a leader of their band, but so perceptive a musician, and such a powerful force on guitar.
