I'll put this here because folks on this thread appreciate cars.
I just read that the Chrysler 300 is being phased out. That's a shame. I haven't owned a car since the '91 Thunderbird I had, but if I was ever going back to a car, it would be a 300.
I rented a car last summer, and I got a 300. Holy cow that thing was sweet.

I drove a bad boy like this to Memphis and back. Smooth, comfortable, stylish, and a little t0o fast for my wife's happiness. I did 95 most of the way, and it was like sitting on a hot cloud going through warm butter.
That wouldn't work in my truck.

Sorry, I can’t think of any Mopar product I’d feel comfortable relying on past about the second oil change.

For a kid from the Motor City, the Chrysler 200 commercial with Eminem still gives me a vibe. And it was about the only way Detroit was ever going to get mentioned during the SuperBowl. Heck, it was so good, I even thought about buying one, except it was just a warmed over Sebring.

I've read where executives would have rather used the 300 for that ad, but it was built in Canada. Which sort of messes up the tagline.

And my 2001 Dakota was built in Warren, same as me. I was able to order through AAA's buying service and choose several specific options, including manual transmission and extended bed.

I've never actually owned one - only Ford and Toyota - and that's the only one I've ever driven. I did spend a whole lot of time with and NHRA Mopar factory team, and they liked them obviously.
That's about all I got. I'm waiting on the new Toyota Tacoma to be released, and I hope that's my last truck purchase on this planet. I hope we both last another 30 years.

The 300 and the Dodge Charger and Challenger (all based on the mid-oughts Mercedes E class) are being phased out as the company runs toward electric.

I'm still mad about the money my wife and I threw at a couple Dodges in our 20s when we were on newspaper salaries. Great looking cars held together by chicken wire.

I've owned two cars in my life: a '66 Mustang and a '91 T-bird. The rest have by 4x4 trucks.

Just turned on the Cup race at Watkins Glen and they're singing the Canadian national anthem. I guess they're near Canada and maybe some Canadians are in attendance, but why would they do that? Is that just a thing in that part of New York?

Most of ours have either been Ford or Mazda.

Watkins Glen, to me, has always produced some good Cup races because the track is suited to the cars. It has some long straights, and the turns aren't too tight.
