82 or 83 wins might be enough. No one in the NL actually wants to put in effort. Phills are leading the wild card only because everyone else have been worse in August. Giants are only in the second slot because they had a buffer (quickly eroding with going 4-10 since the trade deadline). But everyone is sucks harder.

But true to form, just as we start scheduling Braves-LA in the NLCS, something stupid of going to happen and it will be Phillies-Brewers.

 

The Braves are absolutely not making the NLCS, because, as you noted, this is stupid.

The Mets would really be in the race if they'd just stood pat. Hell they still might get back into the race.
