This just might knock them off the "Game of the Week."

Yeah, the lack of starting pitching development is stunning. Justin Steele has a real shot to be the best Red Sox or Cubs starting pitcher drafted by Theo Epstein and it took almost a decade for him to arrive. The only guy he's got to beat out is Clay Buchholz, who was made of papier mache.

I swear I read a similar story a few days ago that had nearly the exact same lede-in -- Trout's workout routine as he tries to come back from injury. Might have been in The Athletic, not sure.
This story certainly was inclusive, but glossed over the stadium property redevelopment issue, the corruption, and the Anaheim mayor who was involved now being up on charges.

I’d think that having two third basemen and a shortstop would violate some sort of defensive shift rules, no?

Yeah, it’s not every day that the Clyde King Era gets brought up. Maybe the Yanks can get Barry Foote to go behind the plate again.

If they are the two options and the money is comparable, why would he choose the Angels over the Dodgers?

Might just like where he is and doesn't mashing and pitching in anonymity?
