Last night, Djokovic took just an hour and 35 minutes to thrash Alexandre Muller.

Today, Medvedev made that seem like a marathon by obliterating Attila Balazs of Hungary 6-1, 6-1, 6-0 in 1:14.

Hell of a job, Venus. Now give your rackets to Goodwill and go do something else.

I love Venus, but she's been done for years and it has really become embarrassing. When someone asked her at Wimbledon why she keeps playing, she replied, "There’s really great insurance benefits on the tour. I need those. I figure may as well keep going." She laughed at the end of that, but I kind of wonder if she mught not have been completely joking.

At some point they need to stop giving her wild cards to get into events -- especially majors.

I hope not. She's made 42 million in prize money and probably at least that much in endorsements.

And she'll get wild cards because she's still a name draw.

She would be the new Kournikova, except she's not as good a player.

They don't need that at the majors.
