That tracks with such a small number of board posters accounting for such a high percentage of noxious emissions here.

How else are you going to get to Tahoe in 15 minutes?

I just mowed my yard without having to stop to cool down. Of course, it was 71 when I started and 74 when I was done, that might have been a factor.

Kinda uncool to hope for a couple of more hurricanes to get us to October though.

I remember we went on our honeymoon in Charleston a week after a hurricane narrowly missed during the first week of September. Every day was 75 without a drop of humidity. Every single person there told us we’d picked the single best week of summer weather they’d ever experienced there in the decades they’d lived there.

Humidity is 59% at the moment. Going to 85, zero chance of rain. It's fabulous.

James McMurtry called this one nearly 30 years ago.

    Daddy's cotton grows so high
    Sucks the water table dry
    Rolling sprinklers circle round
    Bleedin' it to the bone
And I won't be here when it comes a day
It all dries up and blows away
I'd hang around just to see
But they never had much use for me in Levelland

Solar is worth spending research dollars on.

electric cars, IMO, are a vehicle for city folks who are wealthy and don’t drive much.

Since most folks in this country live in cities and their suburbs - and average only 37 miles a day driving - electric cars are a pretty good option.

Especially in cities and suburbs unwilling to build better mass transit.
