This has been some great stuff from Ciampa.

Punk is starting to reach the “athletes who broke your heart” stage with me. I enjoyed his previous work, loved his anti-hero character and liked how he was willing to walk away from the E and torch the bridge behind him.

But it’s just getting tiresome at this point, and I’m not even fully blaming him for the problems with The Elite.

It reminds me somewhat of a story that Jericho told in one of his books. Jericho was teaming up with Punk against Edge and someone else on the houseshow circuit. Jericho, Edge and the other guy were watching a sporting event before going out to perform a small houseshow. Punk kept wanting to go over the match, and the guys told him to wait until the game was over and they would put some spots together call the rest in the ring.

Jericho starts the match, does some moves, tags in Punk, who then refused to tag Jericho in for the rest of the match. Pissed off afterward, Jericho confronted Punk, who told him that if he wasn’t going to take the match seriously, then he didn’t deserve to get in the ring. Jericho pointed out that it wasn’t Punk’s place to decide who deserved to be in the ring, that if Punk had a problem, he should have told Jericho about it beforehand and that all Punk did was hurt the fans who may have never seen Jericho perform live before and may not get to again.

Even if Punk has some good motivation for doing what he does, he ends up coming off poorly.

Nice touch with the Bob Barker tribute, but I notice the best part of those bits was conspicuously absent.

And Seth with a "Yowee Wowee!" Nice.

Great surprise for the live crowd. Don't know how Jerry's speech is, but great to see him smiling and walking around.

And a nice Easter egg I didn't notice earlier.

Kinda surprised Gunther Gables announced for Raw rather than Payback

neither date gets Gunther by Honky Tonk anyway.

I guess they will add some Smackdown stuff but Payback’s lookin a little light. Most likely no Bloodline match either

Damn, couldn't they have just held off on the Terry Funk Hardcore Match for tonight's main event? Great work from all three women involved.

And what a sight afterwards: Becky takes off her "Bray" armband, shows it to the camera and totally breaks into tears.

You’re right overall, but I do think it sounds like Jack Perry is in the wrong on all this, and then felt like he could go at Punk cuz AEW is AEW.

That they didnt react to Brawl Out in a way that scared every single talent into not ever doing anything like that again is a big indictment of Tony Kahn.

Instead, its almost like people like Perry are encouraged to do stuff theyre told not to do (hardcore glass spots, attacking co workers) to get dirtsheet and IWC clout

I’ve felt this way about Punk ever since I watched the WWE Best in the World doc. I love watching him wrestle or cut promos, but he just comes across as a monumental pain in the ass and egomaniacal douchebag at every turn. No doubt that’s a huge reason he’s such a good heel.

    All true.

But I’ve never seen anybody say “Do we have a problem!?!” without bad intentions.

The Creeds need to be pushed to the moon. Ridiculously athletic.

Now we've got the Profits dabbling in NXT, and we've got Butch (one of Regal's biggest NXT UK products) vs. Regal's son.

A lot of dropping the curtain to remember Bray.

But the last clip ... breakthaking.
