He's got a lot of mouth on him. This team isn't good enough to get through the season without taking an ugly loss that puts the lie to his big talk. He's going to get embarrassed and learn to keep the big talk under control the hard way. Strutting and bragging after beating the game one body bag team just isn't smart.

NC AT QB Eli Brickhandler appropriately goes 3-8 for 16 yards passing on the night, 12-36 on rushes though. UAB QB goes 38-41 and still doesn't break 300 yards passing on the night.

I wonder when we have the first lawsuit involving NIL deals. Kid transfers, or sucks, donor wants their money back, or doesn't pay, or makes kid actually show up for appearances scheduled at awful times to get out of the deal. In the past, the dark money spigot would just turn off if a kid didn't pan out, what was the kid going to do? Complain that they weren't getting all the money (illegally) promised them and put their eligibility at risk?

My kid's team played against a kid on Tuesday who had the big neck roll strapped to his pads.

I was like, "What in the 1987 hell is that???"

That’s like bog standard team account social media stuff, designed to reach a generation long past our sell by date.

Hell yes I wore a neck roll in high school - still didn't make me look like Lambert though. Really needs to ba a 30 for 30, or at least an NFL Films segment. Steve Sabol used to do great bits on the arcania of football - like the "get back coach". Hell, remember "bicep bands?" They had zero purpose except to make you look like you had biceps.

Never thought I'd think of either Bob Guccione or Malcolm McDowell while reading a college football thread.
