    The two Jerrys deciding winning championships every year with the Bulls was getting boring and deciding in advance to break up the band.

    Because I was a huge fan, it might have meant more to me than most, but the the Ditka/McMahon breakup with McMahon getting shipped to the Chargers was a bummer for me.

    Montana's split with the 49ers seemed unreal to me, too, a few years later.
