That was a helluva game. Even delayed 90 minutes by lightning at the start. Let's Go Pokes! They're still probably pulling passed-out people from the Buckhorn this morning.

I stormed the field last Monday. Just getting a head start.

BTW, the War is open during the day. So if they're not practicing, you can go out on the field and throw around a football or practice kicking FGs or whatever. Pretty cool.

Props to Greg Schiano. Opening drive he's gone for it twice on 4th down on the opening drive, including 4th and 5 at the NU 39

Schiano built a solid program in the late aughts.

Every corner of Jersey tuned into Rutgers games.

The Scarlets were 11-45 in the 5 years before he arrived.

It took Schiano 5 years to get going and then Rutgers was 36-16 from 2006-09. Not only good but fun to watch.

The world is going to win by, like, 200 points this year, Northwestern.

I mean why not, right? I’m sure you watched that abomination known as Minnesota and Nebraska Thursday on national television in prime time. A game that has “noon with Beth Mowins” written all over it instead gets top billing and, instead of being laughed at for the simmering turd it is, instead has Gus and Joel Klatt carnival barking throughout.

It's like Rutgers is hazing the Northwestern players.

For some reason this line got bet down from Rutgers -7.5 to Rutgers -6, so I jumped on it because Northwestern is dreadful. Looking good so far.
