The entire point is to weaken the country while a libruhl is in the White House. Their fondest wish is for Putin to drop nukes on New York or San Francisco.

 

Tuberville is only able to pull this shit because 99 other Senators value their power as a body and as individuals over the good of their country. It's not enough for Democrats to blame Mancin and Sinema. Schumer could put a rules change to a vote and make them take a position. But the truth is, maybe 10-15 Senators value democracy over their own status. They all have the best motives, of course. A corrupt institution that cries out to be abolished.

I hope you're right. OTOH, Texas Republicans, so I don't trust them. They brought the case when they did because they knew things about what was going on before the public did, so I hope that they see it to be in their interest to get him out of there. That said, he's a Trumpist favorite, so there are a lot of Texas voters who will be pissed at those who vote to impeach. Profiles in courage are rare among politicians.
