Another great moment in humanity from the NCAA.

UNC WR Walker denied appeal, ineligible for '23

So I agree within the spirit of the rule that he probably should be eligible now. But he still gets to go to school for free and keep all his remaining years, right? Is his mental health so super dependent on getting to play football right now? And if so, what’s the plan for when football ends and there is (presumably) no pro career? A season to take a breath and get some help might not be the worst thing.

I'm not sure his mental health is the biggest concern involved.

I've often thought this for players who transfer home to "spend more time with a sick family member" and then want a waiver. If you really want more time with said relative, sit out the year and actually spend time with them.

Color me shocked that an athlete would use another's illness as an excuse to game the system.

It's clear CU has little size and even less depth on the defensive line. The teams that can lean on them and physically hammer them like Oregon, Utah, USC and Oregon State are going to have field days and probably rush for around 300 yards each. Otherwise can they start 3-0 and get the couple of wins they SHOULD get in the conference (Arizona State and....maybe Stanford? Arizona) and then can they steal some shootout wins over UCLA and Washington State.

It all starts will going 3-0 and then can they survive getting mauled by Oregon and USC in consecutive weeks and have enough healthy bodies to beat Arizona State.

This guy doing play by play on the Kansas-Illinois game does an unbelievable Steve Levy imitation. I thought this was Levy all through the first half.

Lance Leipold has got a nice little thing going with Kansas....much like he did with Buffalo...and much like he did winning six D3 titles in eight years with Whitewater.

The guys that win that much usually don't win by accident or luck.

Kansas’ band is bringing it, yo.

And they paid HOW much for Big 10 football?

It won't impact the outcome, but that officiating and replay crew was terrible at UI-KU. Terrible PI call gives KU a TD just before halftime. Awful booth-review targeting call on the 2-point, guy lowers his shoulders and hits the QB with his shoulder pads, not his helmet, just like you're coached. Illinois gets another chance, the guy is clearly stopped short, and they give him the two-point.

Officiating is tough. But the replay guys have no excuses for not getting it right.

LL did do a great job at UB. Just selling out KU's stadium for anyone other than Texas, OU or KSU is an accomplishment.

I'll try to find the clips and see what they saw and any rationale. (Note: As of this, I haven't seen any of the plays.)

Imagine liquor sales in the area when Wazzou and Wisconsin play.
