Sorry. It’s hard to dismiss Nate Silver out of hand as a secret Republican.

 

I'm not the one to ask, because I'm not the one who thinks the media is uniformly "left / liberal."

So it's not super surprising to me that a successful media / tech guy like Silver is a closet semi-conservative.* It is surprising to other people, I guess.





*"Libertarian" being one of those spongy labels we discussed the other day. It's become a rhetorical get-out-of jail-free card for well-heeled pot smokers who don't think their dealer's old lady should be able to get an abortion after the 12th week.
