Admittedly I didn't watch the Welker interview, and I have no desire to. Did she lob that many softballs to Trump?

The guy is uninterviewable. He'll self-destruct the second he's challenged and no one wants to watch a 30-minute screaming match where he talks for 28 minutes. The letting-him-hang-by-his-own-rope method hasn't done anything to lessen his appeal — or improve the "journalism" when it comes to looking a little deeper into him.

 

I heard today on MSNBC that when Mark Meadows testified under oath a couple of weeks back, he was asked if as Trump's Chief of Staff he had done anything to further the fake elector scheme. He had earlier testified to working on replacement electors in case the election in a given state was rejected, but termed replacements as different from fake electors. He said no, that he had no part in that, whereupon the prosecutor produced a text and an email where Meadows discussed the fake elector plot before Christmas, ahead of 1/6. Clear perjury, Perry Mason style.

Jack Smith has his balls in a vice. Will wait to see if he flips or goes to jail for the Mango Menace.
