Touchdown machine Antonio Gates should be in. And I’m a Chiefs fan.

Prevailing thought is Gates and Peppers would be two spots out of the newcomers, but I could also see them making Peppers wait for a year based on their recent trends with defensive ends. I'm interested to see if Ngata can get to the final 15 right away.

Hard to argue with any of your selections.

EDIT: Rather surprised McNabb didn't advance. I mean, he led them to, what, four straight NFC title games and a SB appearance? Also surprised that Eddie George and his 3.6 YPC advanced. I know he's not on this ballot, but Chuck Foreman belongs in way before George.

I don't understand how Ricky Watters isn't in the HOF yet. Is it b/c he bounced around a bit? Was he a tough guy to deal with (I vaguely remember reading something like that)? He was a two-way stud.

Very vague recollections (it is almost 30 years now, sheesh) but I thought I remembered reading Watters was a pain in the ass for both his teams and writers. I could be entirely wrong.
