I don't doubt the "worse off" percentage at all.

Whose income has kept pace with inflation the past 32 months?

That ABC poll has Trump up 20 among under-35s, to give its overall accuracy further context.

Well, my salary is up about 15% from 2020.
I'm making about 225% from my last year in newspapers.

I remember 2020. Toilet paper was cheap, except you couldn't find any. Gas was real cheap, because there was nowhere and nothing to drive to. My dining out costs went down a lot, too. Funny how all that happened.

I love the inflation calculator. I like to use it to point out to people that when I first started bagging groceries for $2.88 an hour, that translates to less of a minimum wage than they get today, and the .80 a gallon gas wasn't that far off from today's prices.

I love watching old shows set in the 1800s. I'm always using the inflation calculator to see what that $1-a-day salary the Cartwrights were paying their hired hands really figures out to.

Answer: Not much. Greedy rich folks screwing their workers, a tradition like no other.

My salary is up ~33 percent from where I started 2020 — technically infinite because I was unemployed Jan. 1, but still collecting from a buyout — and I got my offer to come on staff for good in December 2020. It was an oddly successful year, not that I feel great about it.

He says that not because he believes it, but because his voters believe it, and that’s what matters.
