So, you've been vaccinated and how do you feel?

Basically ditto. We'll get flu and COVID shots 3rd/4th week of October. #5 for me, plus having it once. Relatively mild case, although it was eight days before I tested clean. First one laid me out the day after I got it.

I am interested in getting an rsv vaccine after getting my butt kicked by it for a month last fall. To me it felt worse than covid.

Unless you’re over 60, you’re out of luck.

Well... You can get pretty much any vaccine you want to if you are willing to pay out of pocket for it. That's not *always* true, I remember when there were Antrax scares after 9/11 and basically the active duty military were the only people getting it - but generally it's true. OTOH, you better have more on your hip than a patch of skin if you want to pay for some of them.

The anthrax vaccine was released to civilians via EUA, just like the COVID vaccines.

Without that, I’m not sure how many docs would go off-label with a new vaccine like RSV.

I've had no issues other than a locally sore arm from my first several COVID shots. Going on Wednesday at lunch to get flu and COVID at the same time, just as last year. Hopefully nothing changes.

Was this JayFarrar's last post? Did he die from the jab?

Was looking at appointments for the flu/covid shots and surprisingly discovered, you can get them a lot sooner in the redder areas of your state than the bluer ones.

Getting the Pfizer with the flu shot chaser next week!

Maybe if you whisper it -really softly you won't be "outed" as a covid "believer."

Woke up Saturday around 3:30 a.m. with fever and body aches. That lasted all through Saturday, got up close to 101 though somewhat treatable with Tylenol. Problem was, I took a lot of Tylenol and more often to try to stay ahead of it. I never really got the aches and headache to go away, but would feel the fever start coming on full bore again after only three hours between doses. I slept through that 3-hour window once and woke up near 101 and head just crushing. I was on the couch watching and dozing through college football the entire day.

This time, my fever didn't break until I woke up in a cold sweat at around 9 a.m. Saturday, so this was almost a 36-hour stretch this time. But I had an upset stomach most of Sunday, which can probably be attributed to too much Tylenol. Alas. Still glad I got the shot and will travel worry-free to see the kid in NYC in two weeks.

My lovely wife did better, as usual, than me. She had the shot Sunday, then found she napped through most of Monday. At one point, she wondered why she had been so "lazy." "Honey," I said, "you had the shot." By Tuesday morning she was back to running through walls like she does every day.
