So much vitriol from a top 10, maybe 5 top Chicago suburb.

 

Gabe Kapler was a finalist for the Dodgers job when Dave Roberts was hired. Wonder how things would have been different if he was the choice.
I've been critical of Roberts in the past but he's done a great job this year.

 

Your dreams were your ticket out, Gabe.

 

I mean they couldn't wait two more days?

 

He probably needed to be let go, but the wrong guy was fired first. He didn’t put the roster together.

 

After what Farhan said yesterday, probably not.

I don't know how you expect more than hovering around .500 they are.

 

Hoping some cuts will be made in the coaching staff too. 16 is way the hell too many.

As for Kapler, he did what he could with the cards he was dealt. Can't win every time if they keep dealing you a Doyle Brunson.

Maybe I'm painting with too broad of a brush, but with both the Phillies and Giants, Kapler seemed like sort of gimmick manager who is the dream guy of the analytics-focused GMs who want a button-pusher to carry out what the data suggests. Not sure what that would have meant with the Dodgers, who has amassed so much talent in the last half-decade that my dog could likely manage them to the playoffs.
