Plus, I’m not sure why anyone would think monoclonal antibodies would work against a virus that mutates as often as COVID does. By their very definition, they can only target one strain, because they’re literally clones of the antibodies generated from one strain.

They’re much more effective against static diseases, like cancer. Or boosting severely compromised immune systems.

Of course they work. That's what they use in TB wards and similar applications.

They're good for caregivers in a Covid ward of a hospital, the most directly and regularly exposed. I'm all for the hospitals eating the expense in that context. They're impractical for general use in a hospital setting where developing Covid cases might be literally anywhere else, though. They're expensive, uncomfortable, hot, and can make it hard to speak clearly. It's still going to be N95's for most of the staff other than direct close Covid care, I expect.

Got flu and COVID shots yesterday. Way more mild side effects than I’ve had in the past. Woke up in the middle of the night with a headache and a little warm. Tylenol, back to bed. Feel fine. Maybe a bit tired.

I had a good round of body aches for a day. Two rounds of ibuprofen and some cold meds to help me sleep and I was back to normal the next day. I need to remember to not get these shots when I have school the next day.

My wife and little man got both in Friday. Both were fine. Go figure.

Walked in to the CVS at Target this afternoon and quickly got a Moderna jab in the left arm and a flu jab in the right. Haven't struggled with any complications other than a sore arm from any of my previous four shots, so hopefully nothing changes this time.

Got my flu shot today. Scheduled to get my COVID jab in a couple of weeks. Not a lot of supply here.

Actually only got the COVID shot because someone else didn't show up for their appointment. I tried for a walk-in and they only had one left so they gave it to me. Huzzah.
