I mean, that's what I want to see happen. That's what should happen, if "sane" Republicans grow a pair. But life isn't fanfic.

Also, I want to know how many cigars were smoked and how many bottles of wine were polished off in the last 24 hours at the Boehner house?

 

Every single day I can't believe there are people who listen to him talk and think, "oh man - what a smart guy."

 

It just doesn't even matter. Who ever they elect will face the choice of, "burn the country down," or "compromise with Dems to pass any kind of legislation and get thrown out because you're a RINO."

 

It's impossible to explain to people how wild it was to hear "Jingle Bells, Batman smells. Robin laid an egg" in 1989.

I believe a college degree is generally correlated with wealth. It costs a lot of money to go to college, so people with money can go and do go, at a pretty good clip. And once you get to college - and you're an American with the usual "college needs to be full of social life" expectations - having money really helps to actually remain in school, because very few 18-22 year olds are any good with money. Living a "college life" is costly, and frankly costly by design.

When, exactly, did college not have a social life component? I imagine it was there from the time Harvard opened in 1636 and even when Oxford opened in 1096.
