I, too, was stunned there was no disparagement clause. I imagine both lawyers advised otherwise and were overruled.

 

Did you see the texts and video evidence that his lawyers uncovered? I think that helps clarify why this was an "odd settlement."

She didn't have leverage to be demanding a non-disparagement clause, considering he has the goods essentially proving this was nothing but a fraudulent shakedown scheme from the start. Seems to me about the best she could hope for here is his promise not to pursue criminal extortion charges.

I do think his presentation would have been a little more compelling if he didn't sound like Biff Tannen with the always-ridiculous backwards cap. But those are my personal prejudices.
