My wife and I just got our flu and Covid shots. Took us about 20 minutes total at the Salem Rite Aid, about a 35-minute drive. The pharmacist was from Microville and a Microville pharmacy grad. Small world. Jersey Mike's for lunch, right across the street.

Big day for this retired fellow.

I'm headed in for my appt in a couple of hours (plus shingles shot). Got flu shot already, no problem.

Got my Covid shot two weeks ago at Walgreen’s after CVS canceled my appointment. Walgreen’s system was messed up and even though I had a confirmation email and text, they didn’t have me down for an appointment. They treated me like a walk-in and it all worked out. I got a Moderna. Felt like crap the next morning for about an hour and then was fine. I’d had moderately bad side effects from previous Modernas so this was an improvement. I’m getting my flu shot next week.

Imagine if the people who sold those testosterone boosters had the ad account for COVID vaccination.

"This thing will give you super powers! Especially in the bedroom!"

The second shingles shot was the only one where I felt any effects.

Well took COVID and Shingles pokes last night and went to bed no big deal ….woke up …..tired as hell and slightly achy.

So “why don’t they tell you to just take one shot at a time?? Instead it’s like McDs, “pile them all on!” I’m an idiot. Luckily, about 4 PM felt okay.

I've had 2 covid infections and 3 jabs, and I think I'm good overall. For me the shots were (for a day) as bad as getting Captain Trumps itself.

I shrugged off the shingles jab for years just because I didn’t wanna. Not because I didn’t think it wasn’t real or anything else dumb. I just didn’t want another jab.

Then my dad got hit by shingles. Holy shit. It snakes up his neck, scalp, into his ear and toward his eye. The doc told him all the things about how it can affect hearing and vision, as well as obviously being incredibly painful. Pop recovered but it was quite a “wake the hell up, stupid” moment.

Got it the next time I went to my GP for a check up. Any of y’all who haven’t and can, I strongly suggest you get it and stay on track with it. My dad’s tough as a lighter knot but he said that knocked him around pretty badly.

I got the COVID, flu, and pneumonia Thursday evening. And for the first time, it's kicking my ass. Not just the sore arm, but chills, and now my hair hurts.

A bit like a full hangover, as I recall.

Took me a minute to realize you meant the vaccines and not all three diseases at once.
