I got the impression he was really testing himself, putting himself on the spot on purpose, and he was so disappointed in himself. I mean, he passed on his med-school graduation! to be there -- I know I would not have done that -- so I was glad it had at least paid off for him the day before.

You are less than half of the leader and are choosing the smallest answers.

I get when people miss on a response because of the phrasing of the answer, like giving a book's author instead of the name. But those were whoppers.

The way she was stuttering, she must have had stage fright.

He is down a lot and still chooses the smallest amounts. He lucks out hitting a DD. Then he gets Final Jeopardy right and LOSES because he didn't bet enough.

How do you watch this show and not understand basics?

Seriously. The betting on the show is stupid. Late in a game, bet enough to get in the lead. If you are more than 50%, you have to get the lead. Not getting the lead does nothing and if you lose, you are out of luck.

I only have time for the Category of the Day or FJ cuts that show up on my phone - but I think Jennings is a great host. Bialick seems a little more forced. Maybe she's just that stiff in real life.

Since we're long past the "But he doesn't sound like Alex!!" reflex, let's admit it. Jennings is great.

The way Jennings can give the correct response or fill in some information on a correct response is very good. He delivers like he knew it easily, but doesn't come across as smarmy. He also comments more on players' positions without being intrusive.

What are the patches on players' arms? They look like the patches placed on people in the ER. Are they related to personal health or the show?

1984 Trebek didn't sound anything like 2018 Trebek.

Jennings came in with viewers being familiar with him for 15 or 20 years.
