OK, now I’ve seen the much-hyped NXT match with Heyman, Cena and the Undertaker on YouTube.

Why bother? I mean, is that all they got?

Well the 2 most interesting things all night were Heyman with Ava and Brian Pillman/Kane. There’s no backstory with Glenn Jacobs right? His step dad or whatever is just named Kane? (I maybe wooda kayfabed not Undertaker’s brother’s name but nitpicking).

Cena’s meme faces like he’s never seen a match before are something to behold

As an Orange Cassidy mark, I'm interested in where his story goes now that he's got the International belt again. The way he was acting with the belt, well, it reminded me of Gollum with the ring in LOTR. Part of me hopes that since they've teased Danhausen returning, we see him pop up and say he cursed the belt or something.

Also, Hangman Page vs. Swerve is hell of a feud.

That looks incredible. The casting for Fritz and David looks spot-on.

So will I be able drag my wife to this if I emphasize a barechested Zac Efron for most of the film?

    King, not Kane.

Didn't see him in the trailer, but I'll be looking forward to see how MJF did as Lance, the fake Von Erich.

I’m wondering if they’ll have someone as Gary Hart in the film. He was very prominent as the booker just as WCCW was about to hit it huge.

I will also mark out big time in the theater if this plays:

So growing up between Dallas and Memphis, those were the wrasslin' shows we got. My grandparents on my mom's side watched them. When they were younger, they went to matches featuring Oklahoma Danny Hodge when NWA Tri-State (later Mid-South) held matches in town. My grandpa knew wrestling was staged, but my Mammaw went to her grave thinking it was all real. She loved the Von Erichs. She HATED the Freebirds and Ric Flair. When I'd spend the night at their house in the 1970s and early 80s, they'd let me stay up as late as I could to watch WCCW. I'd fall asleep on the couch and my Pappaw would sleep in his recliner rather than leaving me in the den (the living room was for guests, not family) by myself or waking me up.

That movie is going to hit me right in the nostalgia part of my heart.
