Gallen has to be wondering what he has to do.

Of the four major sports, baseball's home-field advantage is the smallest (53 percent, according to BB-ref). But road teams are just killing it this October, 14-10 pending tonight's contest in Philly.

Of course, of the teams that are left, Philly's got the biggest home-field advantage. That crowd is deafening.

Stop throwing fastballs would be a good start.

Easy to say, but he couldn't even get the knuckle curve over to the worst hitter in the postseason, Johan Rojas.

This is a perfect comp, right down to both guys being massive frontunners in other sports (and in hoops, for LeBron). They're both difficult to deal w/but have done a terrific job of staying out of trouble and leading seemingly normal-ish lives despite exceeding the expectations placed upon them from being under the microscope since their teen years. Even the lone difference between the two (LeBron was raised by a single Mom, Harper's Dad is the textbook Stage Dad) resulted in a same singular desire for greatness.

Along these lines, let's have the in-game reporter talk about Jose Alvarado's difficulty in reuniting with his family in Venezuela while he's getting outs in the eighth inning of two-run NLCS game.

In baseball it seems so hard to be as good, or better, after you sign a massive contract, but Harper’s pulled that off, too.

He had heard there were some doubts about this, so he decided to make it clear.
