The story doesn't specify what degree of cousin Washenitz is, which is a journalistic fail. If she's a first cousin, she could be a credible source; beyond that, nah.


The whole thing is starting to smell fishier and fishier. The daughters would be very smart to hire some kind of competent lawyers -- they'll need to anyway, with a half million or so in donations already -- to make some kind of public statement. The "public statements" so far sound a little shaky.

Nobody wanted to be the bad guy when it was supposed to be America's Sweetheart clinging to dear life, but we were told she was making a "remarkable recovery" three days or more ago, so some kind of minimal update would be logical.

 

I have to give this board credit, when it comes to ass clowning up a thread, this work is top notch. Seventeen pages and we stayed on topic for damn near five and a half of them.
