Yup — got very lucky with my 3rd guess which narrowed it to 2 words and I got it in 5. But a lot of people will not get it today. The bot say the average person is getting it in 4.9

Got it in 6. It was hard.

I also needed six. I got mad because I checked the bot after and it suggested a word after my fourth guess that would have let me use one fewer guess.

If you haven't played yet - don't look down but

    - I've never seen them use three of the same letters in an answer before, that you don't know if a letter appears elsewhere after you get a "green" is brutal enough. Twice? And an answer without an R, S, T or L, N, or E? Madness!!!!

I was going to be so pissed if they repeated a letter today - had one guess left with two possible.

Being a daily player of Wordle has made me so much more observant of words - particularly good Wordle guesses that help me eliminate letters to get to the answer. Also love The NPR sunday puzzle. But found a word today that is a noun that means two entirely opposite things depending on context. The word is oversight. You mess up and forget something - it's an oversight. You are tasked with making sure an f-up doesn't happen - you are in charge of oversight. Glad I didn't have to learn this language second.

NY Times' Connections game forces me to think about language the same way. I love starting at the grid and going WTF and then finally I remember the different meanings for a word or even common phrases used with words to try to find matches.

I think it helps me learn that there is no "streak" to protect with Connections. I'll lose some days and think "whatever" other days "Huh, interesting."

It's funny, I get competitive with Connections. I hate not getting the patters and being able to solve it. But there was one the other day where I just allowed it to fail and said there was just no way. It was good.

Funky wordle today. Five. Thought the Connections was kind of funny the way they combined one "category" - I think you'll know what I'm talking about when you get it.
